You guys know how much I love tea, and lately I’ve been blissing out with the newest green teas from Republic of Tea. This company sent me a beautifully wrapped package of these teas to try, and I’m really impressed with the amazing flavors and excellent formulation of the teas.
Green tea is a pretty versatile tea all on its own. It’s high in antioxidants, and it’s been studied for everything from cognitive function, immunity, and weight loss. Republic of Tea built off of these many different uses to create some really delightful blends for green tea aficionados. Plus, all of the teas are organic!
Immunity SuperGreen Tea is a blend of green tea, echinacea, and elderflower and gets a little zing from natural orange flavors. It’s refreshing, and I love that the elderflower and echinacea pull double duty for winter and spring wellness. Although echinacea gets the most press time during cold and flu season, it’s actually even better suited to the soggy, backed up lymph nodes that happen when spring allergy season hits. Elderflower is one of my favorite winter diaphoretics (it was traditionally used to help work up a good sweat at the first sign of feeling under the weather), but it’s also a great ally when the pollen count starts to climb. I really like this one chilled!
Black currant and honey flavor the Brain Boost tea. A cup of green tea is fantastic when I’m working on my writing, just enough caffeine to help with focus but not feel jittery, and I love the addition of ginkgo, which is a nootropic that has been studied for cognitive function. Definitely two thumbs up. A cup of this one is frequently on my desk during work days.
Lean Green has a yummy cinnamon and maple flavor, and focuses on green tea’s popularity as an assist for reaching healthy weight goals. It includes garcinia cambogia fruit for a little extra metabolism help. Cinnamon’s been studied for its potential to help with healthy blood sugar levels, and stable blood sugar levels can also be important for maintaining a healthy weight.
So far, Serenity is my favorite, because they managed to combine most of my favorite things into one tea! Holy basil, lavender, green tea and hints of vanilla and honey? Yep. All in one heavenly sip. You can check out my recipe for Tulsi Green Tea Ice Pops, which was totally inspired by this tea. This one is also my favorite one to relax with on Sunday mornings!
If you are looking for ways to enjoy the benefits of green tea as part of your daily routine, I highly recommend any of these great blends. You're sure to find at least one in a flavor that suits your tastes and supports your healthy living goals!
All the best,
